UCC Fatherhood FIRE Program
UCC’s Fatherhood FIRE Program empowers fathers to be family-focused, interconnected, resilient and essential in their children’s lives.
Our Approach:
Focused on helping fathers, stepfathers, father-figures and soon-to-be-fathers in the Milwaukee area, achieve their fullest potential by providing them with the tools needed to be successful in their daily lives and relationships. Most importantly, in their biggest role of all, being a present father.
3 Program Areas:
The Fatherhood FIRE Program offers three integrated core program services:
Responsible Parenting
- Child development, non-violent discipline, and skills to play with child
- How to establish positive communication with children
- Skills for effective co-parenting and how to become an involved father
- The importance of financially providing for children
Healthy Relationships
- Communication and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of the benefits of marriage
Economic Stability
- Resume development and interview skills
- Employment opportunities and career advancement
- Internships and other job training programs
